About

Your digital life
is your life now.

It's where you work, create, connect — and increasingly where value flows. It should be owned, not rented. We're building the tools that make it truly yours — guaranteed by math, not promises.

Someone in the Middle

Almost everything you do online runs through someone in the middle.

A handful of companies sit between you and your logins, your creations, your conversations.

They hold the keys — so they can lock you out without warning, leak your details in the next breach, or quietly change the terms. And the same shape repeats wherever you look: platforms take your attention and your data; AI is trained on human work with no consent, no credit, and no way to prove who made what. You can see it in how money loses its value over time, and in how the people who actually make things end up with the smallest share.

Once you notice the middle, you notice it everywhere.

And it's straining: a system that keeps funneling value up to the middle, away from the people who create it, can't hold.

Our lives moved online. But online, we don't own where we live — we rent it. It didn't have to be this way. And it doesn't have to stay this way.

No One in the Middle

Take the middle out, and there's nothing left to extract.

That's the whole idea behind decentralization, or P2P (peer-to-peer or person to person). In a centralized system, everything routes through the gatekeepers in the middle.

P2P drops the middle entirely: people connect directly, with nobody in between.

You own your identity, your data, and your creations — and you decide who can use them, and how. Value flows to the people who make it, through honest exchange between equals, not a toll paid to whoever owns the gate.

This isn't anti-business, or anti-money — honest trade between people is P2P too. Taking out the middle is what lets small businesses thrive: when no one at the top is skimming a cut of every exchange, the people doing the work keep what they earn and reach the people they serve directly.

What we're changing is captivity: being owned so you can't leave.

So, together, we build the opposite — nothing locks you in:

Yours, on an open standard
Keys on your device
Verifiable by anyone
Works even if we vanish

A P2P world — a New Internet — is bigger than any one company. Our part is the foundation it runs on — the identity and software layer underneath. Because nothing is truly P2P until you are. So that's where we start.

Centralized

A hierarchy where value flows up to a single node at the top

Everyone routed through the top — value flows up to whoever owns the middle.

Decentralized (P2P)

A peer-to-peer network of equal nodes connected directly to one another

People on the level, connected directly — value stays with those who make it.

Proof, Not Promises

This isn't a promise — it's how the technology is built.

Flowsta runs on Holochain, and Holochain is agent-centric — a technical way of saying there's no middleman holding your details to begin with.

The apps you use today keep everything about you in one giant filing cabinet the company owns. They hold the key, and they can lose it, leak it, or lock you out. Holochain flips it: everyone keeps their own records, in their own hands, and the network is simply people confirming each other's facts directly — like neighbors who each keep their own copy and vouch for one another, instead of trusting one central office. You're not a row in someone's database.

You're the author of your own story, holding your own pages.

That's the technology that makes everything else possible.

Holochain

Flowsta doesn't just run on Holochain — it only exists because of it. A P2P network with no central server and no company in the middle: the only ground a truly sovereign identity can stand on.

Agent-Centric

Everyone runs their own chain — their own records, in their own hands. No central database to breach, no company that can shut the service down, no platform that decides who belongs.

Zero-Knowledge

Your private data is encrypted with keys only you hold. It's mathematically impossible for anyone else to read it — including Flowsta staff. Not a promise. Math.

Flowsta Vault

A desktop app that keeps your keys on your own machine, signs your work, and runs other Holochain apps — so your identity keeps working even when we don't.

AI, on Your Terms

AI is the newest place your work is used without asking.

The big models are trained on everyone's work without consent or credit, and more and more they act on you — ranking you, deciding for you — instead of for you. We're not against AI. We're for a different kind: AI that works with you, on your terms.

And here's what's easy to miss: that kind of AI isn't possible until you own your identity, your data, and your creations first.

You can't have AI that truly works for you while a handful of companies still own the "you" it works on.

The same foundation that puts you back in control — an identity that's yours, data only you can unlock, work you can prove you made — is exactly what lets AI become your agent: acting with your consent, on your side, accountable to a real person, and honest about what's human-made and what's machine-made.

That foundation is what we build. It's the layer a human-aligned, decentralized AI needs — and the reason we start with identity. AI that helps you bring out your value, not extract it.

Meet the Founder

Eric Doriean, Founder of Flowsta

Eric Doriean

Chief & Founder

Eric is an internet veteran and was a founding member of Australia's first publicly listed internet company. With decades of experience running consulting businesses and launching startups, he's watched the early open web get fenced off, gatekeeper by gatekeeper — until a handful of companies stood between people and almost everything they do online.

Flowsta was born from a question Eric kept asking himself: "why isn't someone building this?" So he decided to be that someone. Today he leads the development and operations of Flowsta, building the zero-knowledge, decentralized infrastructure he wants to see in the world.

Our Values

Privacy First

Your data belongs to you. We build zero-knowledge systems where even we can't read your private information. Privacy isn't a feature bolted on — it's the foundation.

Decentralization

No single point of failure, no central authority, no one in the middle. Distributed technology that puts power back in the hands of people, not corporations.

User Ownership

You own your identity, your data, and your creations. We provide the tools; you keep control. Real ownership means you can take everything you've built anywhere.

No Lock-In

Your identity is yours, on the open W3C DID standard. Your signatures live on a public network. Your keys live on your device. If we disappeared tomorrow, everything you've built would still work.
